Time in a Bottle
Painted to & inspired by the song "Time in a Bottle" by Jim Croce. The melodic notes of the harpsichord & guitar in this song made me see raindrops of color splashing down so I used my fingertips & thumbs to twist the paint onto the canvas. I combined lots of sparkling pigment with
acrylic paint to give it a wet, light-reflecting sheen.
Listening to the lyrics about one's mortality & the desire to have more time with our loved ones brought to me a mindfulness about staying present in the moment which is particularly helpful when I'm feeling pain & discomfort due to my health.
Heavily textured piece. Scroll right to see close-up's for details.

Piece created using only my fingers & knuckles. No brushes or instruments used.
